3D Printers (Beginners) Part-time

Course Overview

3D Printers (Beginners) Part-time

This introductory course provides a basic understanding of how 3D printers work and how they are used in engineering, design and manufacturing.

You will explore the key components of a 3D printer, including materials, slicing software and printer setup. The course focuses on developing practical skills such as preparing digital models, setting print parameters and safely operating a printer to produce simple objects. You will also gain awareness of common printing issues and how to resolve them.

There is no formal qualification attached to this course. However, the course builds useful hands-on experience and supports progression into CAD, parametric modelling and advanced manufacturing processes. It is ideal for beginners looking to develop foundational knowledge and practical skills in additive manufacturing.
