An Introduction to A.I and Emerging Technologies is a dynamic course designed to equip learners with essential digital skills and explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (A.I) and emerging technologies in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Throughout the course, learners will embark on a journey of skill development and exploration across four comprehensive units:

1. Digital Skills Career Progression: Understand the significance of digital skills in the contemporary workplace and explore various job roles demanding digital expertise. Gain insights into the characteristics valued by employers, paving the way for a successful career in the digital economy.

2. Digital Skills Project: Develop proficiency in planning, developing, presenting, and reviewing digital projects. Engage in hands-on activities to enhance project management skills and effectively navigate digital project lifecycles utilising the assistance of A.I.

3. Exploring New and Emerging Digital Technologies: Delve into the world of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. Explore the functionalities of A.I assistants like ChatGPT, Copilot and Bard and understand how businesses leverage A.I to meet operational needs and drive innovation.

Join us on this transformative journey and discover how A.I and emerging technologies can revolutionise your approach to work and enhance your professional capabilities.

4. Using Digital Technologies: Learn how to use a range of digital technologies for different purposes. Understand how A.I as a digital services can be used for services such as e-commerce, finance and manage online accounts safely and securely. Exploring the use of online document systems to upload and download files, use email, instant messaging, and social media to communicate and collaborate with others with the assistance of A.I.

Throughout the course, learners will master the use of various digital technologies for diverse purposes. Learners will acquire practical skills essential for navigating the digital landscape securely and efficiently.

Course starts week commencing 15 September. Day of the week to be confirmed.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.

If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
