Visit Barnsley College University Centre at our Church Street campus for a Higher Education (HE) Information Drop-in Sessions and discover university-level study options in Barnsley.

Whether you are exploring Higher Education courses, preparing to apply for a degree, HNC, HND, Foundation Degree, Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) or Higher Apprenticeship, or looking for advice about your next steps, our friendly team can help.

Come along to speak to our Information, Advice and Guidance team about courses, applications, student finance, fees, support services and studying at Barnsley College University Centre.

Our HE drop-in sessions are ideal for anyone interested in studying higher education in Barnsley, including school leavers, adult learners, current Barnsley College students, parents, carers and anyone considering returning to education or progressing to university-level study.

The sessions run throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, explore your options and find out how to apply. See the planned dates and times below:

• Thursday 10 December 2026, 2.00pm to 6.00pm
• Thursday 7 January 2027, 2.00pm to 6.00pm
• Tuesday 2 March 2027, 2.00pm to 6.00pm
• Tuesday 22 June 2027, 2.00pm to 6.00pm

Barnsley College University Centre is located at Church Street in Barnsley town centre, next to Barnsley Town Hall and just a short walk from the bus and train station, making it easy to visit if you are travelling from Barnsley, South Yorkshire or the surrounding area.

In addition, our Information Unit, based at the Old Mill Lane campus, will also be open from Tuesday 30 March to Friday 9 April 2027 for our Easter Information, Advice and Guidance drop-in sessions.
