Leon Etherington

Leon is Director of Digital Services at Leeds Beckett University. The University emphasises practical, career-focussed education and aims to help students shape the future. With over 20 years’ experience in technology, Leon has worked in global finance cybersecurity, local government technology delivery, retail tech systems development and Further and Higher Education technology strategy delivery. Over those years, he has learned from the highs and lows which come from overcoming challenges and pursuing major delivery and come to realise that people and value driven delivery are the things that really matter. 

Having studied at Barnsley College, Leon feels a deep connection to the College and feels proud to be part of an organisation whose vision is to transform lives.
